Key Accountabilities:

  • Master's Degree preferred and the completion of requisite coursework from a BACB approved course sequence program or Clinician holding NADD Clinical Certification
  • Bachelor's degree in Applied Behavior Analysis, Psychology, Special Education, Public Health Counseling, Social Work, Public Health Counseling, or a similar degree and under the supervision of a BCBA-D or BCBA
  • Board Certified Behavioral Analyst (BCBA) required
  • Prior experience working in the field of Human Services and/or Developmental Disabilities
  • Experience in behavior modification techniques
  • Good interpersonal, organization and writing skills
  • Ability to define problems, establish facts and draw valid conclusions necessary
  • ABA (Applied Behavior Analysis) preferred
  • RBT (Registered Behavior Technician) preferred

Essential Training Requirements:

  • Successful completion of The Arc/Mercer's Orientation
  • Overview of Developmental Disabilities
  • Abuse and Neglect
  • First Aid/CPR
  • Medication Administration
  • Crisis Management
  • Danielle's Law
  • Safety
  • Any other training deemed appropriate by your supervisor

 Essential Duties: 

  • Work with the developmentally disabled population.
  • Develop behavior modification plans.
  • Document behavioral interventions and outcomes through the use of individual progress notes.
  • Oversee agency training of crisis management to ensure thoroughness and consistency.
  • Assist with training assessments.
  • Develop and provide staff trainings on behavioral issues.
  • Fee for Service Assessments.
  • Participate in ISP
  • Establish on-going communication with psychiatric and mental health providers.
  • Compile biographical information and create psycho-social assessments for consumers.
  • Maintain a flexible schedule to accommodate the varied needs of the program.
  • Maintain behavioral files for all Arc Mercer consumers.
  • Maintain logs for all counseling sessions with consumers.
  • Attend weekly Medical/Behavioral meeting.
  • Coordinate with medical department on behavioral issues.
  • Attend residential management meetings for behavioral related issues.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the Behavioral Department Manager.
