Assistant Employment Specialist

$14.00 per hour

Work with leading Mercer County non-profit, serving people with developmental disabilities to help cultivate their interest in learning food service skills.

 

Key Accountabilities:

  • Ability to engage and teach individuals with developmental disabilities food preparation and training.
  • Experience in all aspects of the food service industry to include but not limited to inventory, menu planning, food preparation, proper serving and sanitation techniques, and excellent customer service.
  • Ability to document the progress and perform vocational assessments of trainees.
  • Genuine passion for working with individuals with developmental disabilities.

 

Minimum Requirements:

Associate Degree

Experience Teaching Food Service Skills

Serv-Safe / Food handler certification preferred

Valid Driver's License (less than 3 suspensions and/or points in the past 3 years)

Successfully pass background check, drug screen and physical

Prior experience working with adults with developmental disabilities preferred
